Monitoring and Controlling Noise from a Nightclub
Nightclubs tend to be located in town and city centers, where a certain level of noise can often be tolerated. However, noise from another's entertainment can be particularly irritating (even if it is less intrusive than the traffic noise) and excessive low frequency boom and vibration can increase the perceived noise levels. The noise levels inside a nightclub from the music are usually particularly high - that is part of the attraction and atmosphere. This results in everybody's threshold of hearing reducing as the evening goes on - they become temporarily more deaf. This makes controlling the music noise levels by ear rather difficult as it sounds quieter than it actually is. The Bluebox Music Monitor and Controller overcomes these problems and can be used proactively to keep any local residents happy. It has special filters that can be used to help detect the low frequency booming that tends to be the cause of many complaints of noise from a nightclub. Setting the LevelThe level can be adjusted by opening the front cover (using a key) to access the control. Accurate equipment can be used to set the level but it is often much more useful to select the level by ear, with the agreement of the local residents or the whoever is responsible for law enforcement or environmental health.
